New restaurant/deli in Dyersburg

This morning I did an interview with the Sweet Peppers Deli president and COO, Mike Beacham and also with the Dyersburg general manager, Karen Yarbro. Karen is a longtime resident of Dyersburg,Tennessee.

Both of these company executives are excited about the newest location-Dyersburg. The company headquarters is in Mississippi but they have other deli locations in Columbus,Ms.,Corinth,Ms.,Cullman,Alabama,Hattisburg,Ms.,Muscle Shoals,Al.,Starkville,Ms and Tupelo, Ms.

This new restaurant/deli is located in the Dyersburg Mall, 2700 Lakeroad in Dyersburg,Tennessee. Currently, the deli is under construction with a projected opening date just before Christmas.

Mike told me he plans to hire around 60 people to staff this restaurant. Not only will they have sit down dining but they also plan to offer catering for outside functions. Their phone number is 731-285-7676.

Why would I discuss a new restaurant opening in Dyersburg,Tn.? New restaurants are always a prelude to growth. Dyersburg is really starting to grow and you will continue to see new restaurants and businesses locating in Dyersburg.

Possible new steel mill at Cates Landing

I just ran across an article written by the Union City Messenger. The Cates Landing Riverport under construction just north of Tiptonville,Tn (about 40 miles north of Dyersburg,Tn) has been approached by a company considering building a $250 million steel mill. This unnamed company would hire up to 500 people with hourly wages between $18-$20.

The benefits to Tiptonville, Lake County, Ridgely and Dyersburg would be great.
Now might be a good time to buy the warehouse in Tiptonville that we have listed and I mention in an earlier post.

One of my agents recently listed a motel in Dyersburg. Here is her description:
